What this is
Gobstagram is a social board for the mid-2000s web, rebuilt with the niceties of modern social media without losing the feel: an orange-on-cream panel system, a navy shell, and depth carried by literal button bevels instead of soft shadows. It exists so that people who miss that era of the internet have somewhere to post.
How it's built
The design language lives in tokens, not in hardcoded colours. A set of editable custom properties defines every surface, text colour, border and control state, so the whole site can be reskinned — including per-profile, through Theme Studio — with no code change.
Depth is a literal tri-tone bevel borrowed from 98.css, built out of those same tokens. Nothing uses a soft shadow, a gradient fill, or a rounded card.
Accessibility is a constraint, not a pass
Every foreground/background pair in the palette was measured against WCAG AA before it shipped — not eyeballed. Contrast is the floor, not the goal: generous consistent spacing, hierarchy carried by weight rather than colour alone, state changes that alter shape and not only colour, and no motion competing for attention.
